CURRENT JUNIORS
To get a headstart with your college planning, begin by:
1. Creating an email address using your first name and last name to use for college and financal aid applications only. If you are not one of the two hunderd juniors who already sent their college email address to Ms. Chan please send it to her now at priscill_chan@fuhsd.org. You will receive college news, admission tips, reminders, etc.
2. Filling out the Brag Sheet, which will be used for teacher, guidance counselor and school administrator recommendations. Send it to Ms. Chan at priscilla_chan@fuhsd.org to put in your college folder.
3. Scheduling a college planning meeting with Ms. Chan. You will be required to bring My Mustang Resume, the results from two college search engines and a career planning inventory.
4. Following the timeline and things to do as listed on the College Planning Calendar for 2009 Seniors.
5. Volunteering! Service work benefits both the community and the individual. A wide variety of services may be performed, like working with the elderly, volunteering at a non-profit day care center, working at an emergency food or housing program, performing hospital work or joining environmental clean up and restoration projects in your neighborhood. To help you to record community service hours please use the Community Service Hours Log form. |
